ARCIBUS was influenced by Industry Experts
The Arcibus Framework Development
Like most frameworks, Arcibus was influenced by what has successfully gone before it. Namely:
The Framework has been further influenced and subsequently adapted through communication with and reading the excellent literature of:
Paul Bodine, William Ulrich, Jeff Scott, Richard Boland and Fed Collopy ,Ralph Whittle and Conrad Myrick, Robert Kaplan and David Norton, David Wastell and many others.
All these above references and many more are available in the book 'Business Architecture Made Easy'
A Business Orientated Framework
Arcibus is a totally Business Oriented Framework
The Arcibus Business Architecture is a framework that is totally business oriented in which the whole business, can commit in order to truly understand business problems and the potential to genuinely improve the way business delivers value.
A 2016 Business Architecture Survey General Findings Report discovered that "Business Architecture appears to be most valued where businesses are grappling with change".
Arcibus Business Transformation Architecture should not be confused with the IT based element of Enterprise Architecture.
Arcibus, not only facilitates the design of your business transformation, but also gradually throughout the the design stage, it 'builds' your permanent corporate business architecture.
Once the Corporate Business Architecture is in place, the more it is used, the more 'intelligent' it becomes, resulting in future planning and transformation becoming swifter, more economical and a lot more streamlined.
Business Architecture is long overdue.
ARCIBUS is a Structured and Proven Methodology
Business Architecture identifies, categorizes and analyses the required relationship and dependability between business components including:
The Business Strategy and Objectives -the strategic competitive intentions of the business.
The Value Streams - a collection of high level activity steps that ultimately deliver the value to the customer (external or internal).
The Guides – information that directs and/or constrains the business value streams e.g. policies, plans, procedures, governance, regulations and business rules.
The Enablers - Organisation Roles, IT systems and other resources that directly or indirectly support the completion of the business value streams.
The Critical Success Factors - Time, Cost , Quality Risk and Compliance standards of performance that are built into the design of each value stream.
